Prayer is about relationship with our Father in heaven. Jesus modelled prayer as a natural part of his life and often withdrew alone to be with his Father. The ministry that Jesus did was a result of being with his Father – he only did what he saw the Father doing. Prayer is a lifestyle and we can pray at any time and any place. We can pray by ourselves, we can pray with others. The very lives that we live can be an answer to Jesus’ prayers. He lives to make intercession before the Father for us (Romans 8:34). We can be the answer to someone else’s prayer (Acts 16:9-10). Our prayers and gifts catch God’s attention (Acts 10:4).At Churchlands, our desire is to see everybody grow and develop this personal relationship with our Father and that we also will be fruitful in doing the things God has prepared for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). We encourage everyone to belong to a Small Group. We read in the Bible how people met together, ate together and prayed together - it was a way of life. Prayer is vital for us personally, our families, our church, our nation to be able to fulfil all that God has planned for us. May we all rise up as sons and daughters of the living God and cry out to Him to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven!Small Group leaders will receive prayer notes at times to encourage us and remind us of some things we can be praying for. Some of our regular prayer times are below. We will advise when we have a “call to prayer” for specific situations. If you have answers to prayer that you would like to share, we would love to hear about them!
