These evenings are held once a month on the last Sunday of the month.
Come and join others who want to pursue the presence of God!
Come prepared for these evenings by spending time in prayer in the secret place!
What is A Night in His Presence?
An opportunity to grow in expressing our heart of worship as a community.
A desire to create an atmosphere where He can come and move among us!
A time to grow together in allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us.
A time of refreshment and encouragement.
A time of seeking to hear God’s voice together.
Sharing what we believe He is saying and then acting on it.
Making declarations over our lives and our church as a body.
An opportunity to minister to the Lord and to be ministered by Him.
Come Pray in the Sanctuary
Take this opportunity to draw aside from all the distractions of life to spend time reading the word and to wait upon Him in expectation to speak to you. We are building a house of prayer for Him, a place for Him to remain!

At Churchlands our desire is to see a proliferation of prayer right across this church! We declare that Churchlands is a house of prayer for this church, this city, this nation and the nations!

Prayer is not just another religious practice. It is an intimate relationship with God Himself. Prayerful intimacy with the Father is essential if we are to manifest His love to one another and the world. Intimacy is the content and context of prayer. All of us, as believers, need to develop a powerful ministry of private and public prayer. The Kingdom of God is sustained and advanced by prayer! Individual and group prayer both reflect our commitment to spiritual battle. We learn to pray by praying!

Prayer groups gather either weekly or fortnightly to pray for our church. These groups meet at a variety of locations for a commitment of one hour per week or fortnight. A list of directions for prayer are made available from the team at Churchlands. The groups are encouraged to break up their one hour into time for worship, time to wait on God and grow in listening to the Lord’s voice and time to pray according to the directions for prayer for the month.
Our small groups are encouraged to spend part of their group time using the monthly prayer directions as well as ministering to one another in the power of the Holy Spirit. Prayer Directions are available at Enquiries in the form of a book mark.
A prayer group for Israel meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 1.00pm at Churchlands.
