I want to give thanks to God for giving us a taste of the fruits of the Churchlands School of Supernatural Ministry in that a friend of mine has experienced partial healing, freedom from oppression and salvation.  She encountered the power of God through us (that is the CSSMers from Riverview Church).  It is so exciting and thrilling to be used by God and to see that what we are doing is bearing good fruit.

Thank you Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit.

I play basketball on Wednesday night with some non-Christian guys. A few weeks ago during our game, one of my teammates, Gavin, injured his leg. He said that it was his hamstring and that he had injured it previously. It looked pretty serious. He didn’t play for much of the remainder of the game. After the game, I mentioned to him that at my church we pray for people and God heals them. I asked him if he would mind if I prayed for his leg. It was a little weird and probably a foreign concept for him and his wife and son who were also present. I also felt a degree of apprehension (as you do) in a public setting to take the ‘step of faith’. Anyway, as we walked out to the carpark I prayed for his leg very naturally and without using any ‘big’ words, just commanding the injury to be removed in Jesus’ name. With a few more strange looks from his family and a ‘thank you’ from Gavin, we departed.
Last night I saw Gavin again for the first time in 3 weeks since I prayed for him. It was encouraging to see him there, ready to play, so I went up to see how his leg was. He said to me, “Mate, I don’t know what you did the other night, but it sure worked! My leg got better overnight”. Buzzing on the inside, I responded to him, “That’s what I would refer to as an answer to prayer”. God is so amazing!
I also noticed that his face looked different. There seemed to be a different countenance about him, as if I was able to see the potential of Christ in him. I am looking forward to further developing my relationship with him and I hope to invite him along to church sometime.
Be encouraged, when you get the impression to help someone, pray for them or whatever, just act on it. It is natural for us to be apprehensive when we pray for people, especially in a public setting, but I believe it is becoming even more natural for us to see people healed and set free.........right where they are.
As a sports enthusiast, I leave you with a familiar phrase from Nike........Just do it :)

I’ve been allergic to caffeine for 13 years. That meant no chocolate, tea, coffee or other caffeinated drinks. It was quite severe. Within minutes of eating or drinking only a small amount of something containing caffeine I would become violently ill for many hours. Recently I was having a private worship time and I felt God say to me that He had healed me of this problem. This gave me courage. I made a cup of tea, extra strength, and squeezed every last drop out. I drank the whole thing and went back to worship. I wasn’t sick at all. First thing the next morning I had a coffee and again nothing happened. I was healed! I am now free to eat and drink without fear of what the ingredients of various foods may be. God is amazing!

Over 15 years ago I was diagnosed with major depression. I was told that I would have to get used to the idea of being on medication for the rest of my life. Although I was not happy with the idea, I believed it and lived with it. In August 2010, while Randy Clark was teaching that God’s desire is for us to be healed, the idea ‘stop all medication’ went through my head. Although this was initially a shock to me, when I realised that there was no mistake and I became excited and afraid. I started to imagine that I could be set free and this caused faith to grow within me. With one foot still on the boat, I asked God ‘how do you want me to do this... gradually?’ The only impression was again ‘stop all medication’. So, on the same weekend I decided to take the risk and put my other foot on the water. I felt I could not do it without God and over the following weeks I intentionally and deliberately focused on Him for healing and also listened to that night’s teaching repeatedly. Each time the Lord reassured me that everything is and will be alright. It is now six months since my healing and during this time the enemy has often tried to steal my hope using fear and disbelief. As I trust in the Lord, each victory over the enemy makes me stronger because I know without any shadow of doubt that I am healed. I want you to know that no matter what your situation is, there is hope and abundant provision for you too in the Lord Jesus Christ. Dare to believe him.

Healing of Down Syndrome in the womb Some good news in relation to an unborn child who had potential (90% probability of) Down Syndrome. The father (a colleague of mine) had confided this concern to me when I bumped into him in Perth. With his permission, and since his wife was not available, I took hold of his hands and released the power of God into them to heal his unborn child. All of this took place standing in a public place. In faith and obedience to my instruction, the man went home that night and laid his hands upon his wife’s belly and commanded healing in Jesus name. Following an amniocentesis the following day, the condition went from 90% probability to zero. For the full story go to www.churchlands.org.au/portals/0/documents/healing of down syndrome.doc

In 2005, my son Isaac was born 13 weeks early at just 950g. Amidst the wonder of the birth of our first child, doctors immediately took him and myself downstairs to the Special Care Nursery. Doctors ascertained that Isaac's oxygen uptake was about 40%. It needed to be at least 80% for him to survive. They sent me upstairs to get Amy into a wheelchair and bring her downstairs to basically say 'goodbye' to our son, who had little chance of survival. We arrived back and doctors told us that there was one possible technique they could try which had minimal, if any, evidence of effectiveness. At that moment we layed hands on Isaac and prayed for healing to enter his body. We refused to accept that this 'promise of God' would not survive. They took us to a room where we wept and prayed for about 20 minutes. The phone rang and doctors said that his oxygen uptake had DOUBLED to 80%! After 11 weeks on ongoing treatment in hospital we took our miracle boy home. Isaac is now 6yo :)
